Skin is in. Summer is suddenly upon us and the sun is shining brightly. I turned 39 this Spring and it’s been an amazing year so far with many new paths and opportunities and I am so grateful for them all. One subject that always comes up when I tell people how old I am is my skin, which I am always a little shy about getting complimented on. I’ve always been quite fussy about it because it can be very dry and irritates very easily. I drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and I 100% trust a particular brand of skincare and cosmetics. Korres is a Greek natural beauty brand whose ethos is based in nature and science. They are a company that shares my values through their social enterprise, empowering local communities by supporting artisinal cultivation and extraction techniques for their pharmacological grade products. Every product starts out with medical grade pure, sterile local water and then are transformed into unique, powerful and bio-effective skincare and cosmetics enriched with the unique and verdant plant life indigenous and exclusive to Greece. I truly believe that Korres products do more than make your skin look healthy, they support your skin’s health from within. So without further adieu, I present to you my skincare regime
I cleanse only once a day in the evenings using Olympus Tea 3 in 1 Cleansing Emulsion. It is rich and luxurious and I am absolutely intoxicated by it’s scent. It isn’t at all soapy and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. I’ve had my tube for over a year now and it’s not even close to being finished so it’s an excellent investment. I then do my moisturising routine which is to use a couple of drops of the Golden Krocus Ageless Saffron Elixir Serum followed by a couple of drops of the Black Pine 3D Sculpting and Nourishing Active Oil and then gently patting the Black Pine Super Eye Serum around the delicate skin surrounding my eyes. Most people are surprised to hear that I don’t use a cream regularly but to be honest, the serum and oil are so incredibly nourishing I feel like I barely need it. These products are so potent and rich that they’ve truly transformed the texture of my skin.
In the morning I repeat the moisturising step only because moist gives a nice canvas for make-up and it just feels awesome to start out the day with a few drops of pure luxury.
For makeup I always love a fresh and radiant looking face so I love the Wild Rose Foundation with SPF15 and the Wild Rose Concealer which I use between by eyebrows and around the base of my nose which are two areas that can get red and irritated and make your complexion look tired. If I want a bit of a highlight on top I use a few drops of the Wild Rose Facial Oil dabbed on or I mix it in with my foundation for an all-over glow.
I love a bit of colour on the eyes so I’m obsessed with the marine blue Volcanic Minerals Eyeliner which has a slight shimmer and glides on smoothly but stays put. I top my lashes with the luxurious Volcanic Minerals Mascara . Finally, I am obsessed with the Raspberry Twist Lipsticks. Every colour is amazing. The texture is to die for. It’s like a tinted lipbalm only better. I’m wearing Grace here which is a bit like a natural lip shade, only better.
A xx
**this is most definitely NOT an advert. I’m a genuine fan of the brand and everything it stands for and I’m lucky enough to be sent products to try and review. Korres was one of the first brands to support my blog and they’ve made a fan for life.
