THE RENOWNED CRETAN OLIVE TREE GROVES

– Slow-growing, organic Olive trees, watered naturally and kept small in size to be better nourished by the sun, offering a tiny, precious quantity of ‘green gold’, usually a tenth of what standard Olive trees produce.
– The supreme Olive oil of the renowned Cretan Olive tree groves is rich in nutritional and antioxidant substances, ω-fatty acids, vitamins C & E and polyphenols.
– The organically farmed tree leaves are hand-picked every winter and dried naturally before being extracted at the KORRES extraction facility.

THE COOPERATIVE OF ORGANIC FARMERS OF MESSARA
– In the context of the brand’s fair-trade network, KORRES cooperates with the Cooperative of Organic Farmers of Messara – Messara is a 300,000 hectares land at the heart of Crete -, for the supply of superior quality Greek extra virgin Olive oil. This is the first cooperative of its kind on the island, an initiative by dedicated farmers that for decades have been trying to preserve this tradition, while promoting scientific research in relation to Olive tree organic cultivation methods.
